Paddy fields that once fed families across the valley have been left idle. Weeds take over, bunds break down and the knowledge of how each plot was kept begins to fade.
Heritage Care Foundation has adopted five abandoned paddy fields for restoration and productive use. Volunteers and community members clear overgrowth, repair field bunds and prepare the soil so the fields can be farmed again.
Each adopted field is marked with an “Adopted by Heritage Care Foundation” sign so the community can follow the work as it progresses.
